Vintage Pleated Ivory Silk Bobbin Lace Wedding Trousseau Bridal Lingerie Chemise Teddy
This vintage pleated ivory silk bobbin lace wedding trousseau bridal lingerie chemise teddy dates from the 1920s. It is made of an off white ivory color silk fabric with pleating, tiny hand embroidered drawn thread cut work French knots flowers on the front top, bottom skirt and an off white cream color handmade bobbin lace trim edging. This beautiful bridal wedding trousseau lingerie chemise teddy is loose fitting with a drop waist skort style over skirt, side slit vents, an attached tap panty underneath with mother of pearl buttons closure crotch panty panel, lace trimmed yoke top with lace shoulder straps and is sheer, unlined. Believed to have belonged to an heir of Raphael Weill owner of the renowned The White House department store in San Francisco, CA. The chemise measure 38 inches long, with a 34 inch bust, 34 inch waist and 36 inch hips. It is in good condition, with only some slight faint yellowing discoloration on the front top and bottom lace hem skirt (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of custom handmade wedding trousseau bridal lingerie wearable art!
